Hayal Köksal started dealing with Total Quality Management (TQM) in 1992 during her doctoral studies in Gaziantep. After getting her Ph.D. in 1997, she started giving quality-based seminars and training at various organizations. She was one of the founding members of the “Education Expert Group” of Quality association of Turkey (KalDer) in 1997 and she worked there for three years voluntarily. she collaborated with many Directorates of the Ministry of National Education and gave TQM trainings to schools and almost 40,000 teachers in many cities of Turkey.
She designed “QOMERIL” in 2002 upon the necessity of quality improvement trainings of many organizations in Turkey based upon her experiences. “QOMERIL” stands for “Quality Organizations through Motivation, Education, Research, and Innovative Leadership”. It is an innovative training and counselling system and specializes in “Quality” issues. QOMERIL aims organisational and professional development through a well-designed modular training system enriched by innovative leadership clues, motivating feedback systems and technology-supported counselling. Hayal states ‘Our purpose is to walk hand-in-hand with volunteer world class organizations to bring innovative way of thinking to their staff and administrators. We believe especially experienced firms and institutes will benefit a lot from our system, because we tailor the program according to the needs, expectations and wants of the clients. It makes us unique. World is changing, institutions are also in need of change. Whenever they manage change, more qualified and more dignified generations will appear and this will affect the business world. We would like to work with national and international organizations like schools, hotels, health-care centers and companies that are providing service to the community members. We love dreaming and standing together and always move from theory to practice. Although it might be considered as “Utopia”, Hayal believes that a “Qualified and Dignified World” can be created through positive thinking, understanding, love and respect, teamwork, communication skills and effective technology use.
